2017-01-10

On January 8, the 1st Nankai MBA  Alumni Association Council and the 1st Expanded  President Joint Committee of the Nankai Alumni Association were hosted at Nankai  Business School(NBS). Present in the meeting were: Zhang Yuli, Dean of NBS, Xue  Hongzhi, Associate Dean of NBS and Director of the MBA Center, Chen Yan, Vice  Director of the MBA Center, Wang Ru, former Vice Director of the Center, and  over 100 council members.

The  meeting was chaired by Zhang Yuli, who was appointed as President of the Nankai  MBA Alumni Association Council. In the meeting, the members deliberated on and  adopted the Constitution of the Council, organizational structure, and  procedures governing the election of the President Joint Committee members. Xue  Hongzhi, Wang Ru, Zhang Jinhua and other 9 members were nominated and elected as  Vice Presidents of the Council, Chen Yan as the Secretary General and Liu Feng  the Deputy Secretary General.

During  the tea break, the Vice Presidents of the Council held a private session. As a  result, Han Liansheng was elected as the Chairman of the 1st Expanded  President Joint Committee of the Nankai Alumni Association and other 16 people  as the Vice Chairmen.

In  the next part, all the participants held heated discussion about the Council’s  development ideas, platform building, resource integration, and dedication to  public interests and the Alma Mater. They reached consensus as follows: first,  be a great Nankai alumni, endeavoring to become the management elites in their  own areas; second, be a builder of Nankai, offering support to the students’  internship, employment, and entrepreneurship, and engaging in the school’s  scientific research and teaching; and third, be a blazer of Nankai MBA brand,  getting involved in social welfare activities and bearing the due  responsibilities.

The  success of the meeting laid a solid foundation for the upcoming Founding  Ceremony of the MBA Alumni Association. The association will forge ahead from  this new start.
