The Forum on RUC Humanities and Social Sciences Academic Achievements Evaluation System and the Symposium on Academic Evaluation and Discipline Development was hosted in Beijing on March 28. The event was organized by Renming University of China (RUC) and attended by about 800 participants, including leaders from national government departments such as the National People’s Congress, the Ministry of Education, etc., experts and scholars, as well as representatives from academic institutions and media.
Two results were released in the forum: 2016 Rankings of Replicated Journals Reproduction Index and 2016 Rankings of Original Authors for Major Replicated Journals Reproduction. Among over 500 journals on humanities and social sciences and more than 300 institutes that were listed, Nankai Business School ranked 2nd in terms of the Business Administration discipline at secondary schools of the institutions of higher learning, with a total of 23 times of reproduction. And the Business Administration discipline ranked 2nd in terms of sub-disciplines at the institutions of higher learning, with a total of 31 times of reproduction.
The two reports were developed by the RUC Research Center for Humanities and Social Sciences Academic Achievements Evaluation and the Information Center for Social Sciences of RUC. Since 2001 when it was first issued, it has become a major basis for the academic evaluation of humanities and social sciences achievements, and offered valuable perspectives for such evaluation.
