2020-06-15

Research Center for Chinese Humanities and Social Sciences Evaluation released Research Report for the Rank List of Most Influential Scholars in Chinese Philosophy and Social Sciences: An Evaluation Based on Chinese Academic Achievements (Ver. 2020) and the rank lists of the most influential scholars in different disciplines. Professors Zhang Yuli, Zhang Jixun, Wang Fang and Mei Dan from NKBS were nominated.

The data for the rank list of the most influential scholars in Chinese philosophy and social sciences is mainly from Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) and chaoxing.com, finally forming the rank lists of 20 first-level disciplines including management and economics, 81 second-level disciplines including scientific research management, and 5 inter-disciplines including economics and management science.

This research breaks through the simple counting method based on the evaluation of the influence of scientific research achievements in the academic fields and in the peer. It sets 5 first-level indexes (i.e. the number of articles published in important journals, the degree of attention received, the comprehensive index of published and cited articles, the important awards, and the number of cited books) to measure the influence and contribution of each scholar’s academic achievements in the academic field, and 9 second-level indexes. Various standardized index data are combined with their corresponding weighs to calculate each scholar’s score, and eventually the rank list of academic influence of scholars is formed. The scholars on the list are all scholars whose papers have great influence in the disciplines and who have strong ability in scientific research and core competitiveness in the disciplines.
