November 29, 2018 saw Nankai University International Talents Forum - Business Scholars Forum be successfully held in Balitai Campus. The event aimed to implement the guiding principles of the National Education Conference, accelerate the “Double First-Class” construction, and help NKBS introduce more talents. As is reported, present at the event were 23 young scholars from Tsinghua University, Peking University, Chinese University of Hong Kong, University of Leicester, Indiana University and other top universities.
Opening Ceremony of the Forum
The Forum was moderated by Li Yuelin, Associate Dean of NKBS. Among others, Sun Yue, Researcher and Secretary of the Party Committee attended the event. The Dean Bai Changhong delivered an opening speech to welcome young scholars to Nankai University. Professor Zhang Jixun, Associate Dean of the School, explained the University's talents supporting policies to the participants. Ensuing that, Professor Li Jiatao, Director of Business Strategy and Innovation Research Center, Business School of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and Fellow by Academy of International Business, gave a wonderful academic report to the audience. Divided into four parallel branches, the Forum attracted nearly one hundred teachers and students from three disciplines, namely, Business Administration, Management Science and Engineering, and Library Information and Archives Management, to exchange academic ideas with the young scholars.

It is reported that under the “Double First-Class” strategic deployment of Nankai University, NKBS faces the opportunity and challenge of establishing a top institute and creating more spearheading disciplines. The event plays a part in the School’s faculty refinement and talents introduction. In addition to that, NKBS works to build interdisciplinary team on the basis of social major demands, and concentrates on intersection to enable “Business +” tactic. Furthermore, it endeavors to make the School better informed and collect more intelligent technology, erect an open management and research incubation platform, innovate the model of alumni in-depth cooperation, and promote government, industry, university and research institute profound integration.
