讲座题目：A (bumpy) roadmap for research endeavors: A reflection of premier publications with lessons and recommendations

Researchers are motivated by the pursuit of publication success. However, securing a spot in top-tier or premier journals is becoming increasingly difficult globally. In essence, UTD-24 has emerged as one of the primary goals for many junior and even senior scholars. Yet, the acceptance rate of these target journals remains notably low, with many submissions either being desk-rejected or during the review process. Navigating this bumpy roadmap requires us to continually refine our research skills from various aspects such as theory and method. In this presentation, I will reflect insights from my recent publications in UTD-24 journals, revisiting the (bumpy) journey my papers took from the initial submission to their final publication. I will also discuss various lessons learned and offer personal recommendations.

讲座人简介：

罗欣(Xin “Robert” Luo) 博士，现任美国新墨西哥大学安德森管理学院讲席教授、管理信息系统杰出教授及院长特别助理。他的研究兴趣包括信息系统安全管理，隐私保护，电子/移动商务，跨文化信息管理，以及战略决策与发展相关的创新技术(如区块链、人工智能、人机交互、云计算、绿色IS、电子医疗、社交网络等)。他的研究工作发表在Information Systems Research, Journal of Operations Management, Production and Operations management管理学顶级期刊UTD-24中，特别是在2021-2023期间，他在信息系统领域六大期刊(ISR, MISQ, JMIS, JAIS, EJIS, ISJ)共发表学术论文9篇，位列全球第8。他目前担任International Journal of Accounting and Information Management (SClMago Q1)主编, MIS Quarterly的客座副主编,以及ISR, JMIS, JAIS, DSS, IM等多个期刊的编委。
