Nankai University and People’s Daily Online recently launched the Future Industry Foresight Project in Beijing, alongside the kick-off meeting of the major National Social Science Fund project Research on Accelerating the Transformation of Industrial Models and Enterprise Organizational Forms.
Chen Yulu, President of Nankai University, said the initiative aims to create a benchmark “central media + think tank + industry” collaborative paradigm. Bai Changhong, Dean of the Business School and head of the project, noted that the research derives from national needs and uses “new technology, new security, and new demand” as analytical tools, with the research project and the Foresight Project mutually reinforcing.
The Foresight Project will build an enterprise–industry–city observation network, following the approach of “observing multiple industries in one city and one industry across multiple locations,” and expand to key cities and national high-tech zones to serve new quality productive forces and the modern industrial system.
